Projects

Here are all the projects I’m currently working on:

Answers.MD

Answers.Md is a question and answer site for medical students. They spend all their time studying anyway, I figured they could use a resource where they can work with their peers to find the best answers possible to the questions raised in lecture, during rotations, or asked them by friends who think they already have their white coat. I’m very excited about this project. It is already live, let me know what you think.

Deadpool

Here are the projects that exist only in my memory…

Yfrog.comImageshack.us

I was in charge of “Strategic Development,” and the title definitely means something. It better, it took a week for us to come up with it. I headed up our efforts to keep porn off of the site (not as fun as it might sound). I also helped to come up with new business through partnerships, products, as well as analytics.  It’s a small team of about ~20 people and has been around since 2003. It was a blast and I learned a lot. Thanks for everything guys.

Unnamed Start Up Admitguru.com

This project isn’t in stealth. It just didn’t have a name. I’m still on the advisory board and still love the idea and think it has potential.  The idea is to provide certain education services to high school students. Sadly, the founding team hasn’t been able to get things passed the planning stage.

Thewashletstore.com

This goofy project is really all about being able to say, “I got my start selling toilet seat covers.” A washlet is an electronic toilet seat manufactured by TOTO. They are really cool, and are definitely (hopefully) the future of restrooms in the US. Sadly, like Abroadcare, fulfillment is a huge pain in the ass. Lesson learned: Apparently, a target market is important when selling a product.

Abroadcare.com

Started with my friend Alan, Abroad Care is an e-commerce site which markets gift baskets to people who have friends and family living or studying abroad. It was a fun project that faced a lot of problems. Alan and I both learned a lot from the experience, and frankly we just weren’t able willig to put in the effort.

Cubaprints.com

This was my first website. After a trip to Cuba freshman year of college (I was the first in my family to ever go back), I decided to post some of the pictures that I took online and offer them for sale. In the lifetime of the site (3 years) I only ever sold one photo. You can imagine how happy I was when I made that sale.
